Candle Breeze, Root Beer Float & Aroma Radio

July 8th, 2008

Hello Candle Breeze fans!

Writing today with Strawberry Melon filling my office with the aroma of a Strawberry patch while “Nothing” by Eddie Brickell is palying on my Aroma Radio Mix.

Sorry for the delay on the blog this week but have had so many comments and emails about the Root Beer Float & Aroma Radio set list that I provided last blog that I wanted to respond them personally before writing a new blog.

Thanks to all who waited so patiently for the Root Beer Float Cand-O to make its grand entry to the Cand-O fragrance list. By the response on the web site and at the Candle Breeze Fashion Place Kiosk the wait was well worth it. As many of you know after 3 days we completly sold out and will have more available July 10th. We never expected this Root Beer to be in demand as it has been. The comments have been so nice and glad to hear it is the “perfect summer fragrance”. I was surprised to see that many of you purchased 2 or more of the Root Beer Float which has been our fastest selling new Cand-O roll out to date. Lisa M. purchased a dozen and in her comment box wrote “after getting the Tony Toscano special that included the Root Beer a week early I had to stock up because it makes my whole house happy!” A happy house is a first for us here at Candle Breeze, I’m wondering if her family members love the aroma or maybe the house is really happy. Jack M. at ReMax Realty wrote, “I had more comments about the Root Beer that I had going during an open house than the house itself”. Cort J. says, “I can almost smell the carbonation in the Root Beer Cand-O.” ????
And my favorite from Johanna S., “If you want to have the perfect dessert get some vanilla ice cream, Root Beer and turn your Candle Breeze on with a Root Beer Float Cand-O. The Candle Breeze enhances the senses so much that all my kids only want Root Beer Floats for breakfast lunch and dinner! Thanks for the perfect aroma.”

Sounds like the Aroma Radio Mix that we suggested was a bigger hit than the Root Beer Float Cand-O. I received so many props on this mix and seems that US3 was the favorite band of choice. I’m surprised that many of you have not heard of US3 or Morphine. FedX Dave wrote, “Your aroma radio mix was the coolest arrangement that I have ever heard, twisting by the pool by Dire Straits had everyone at my pool party dancing and loving life”.
If you need a little lift at your next party I highly suggest that you get that set list from the previous blog.

Thanks again to The Chunga Show for all of their love and support. The Tony Toscano special every Friday morning at 8:00 am on the Chunga Show (101.9 The End) has been a big and much needed surprise this summer. The Chunga Show listeners are the most kind supporters of Candle Breeze and always have the nicest things to say about our products. To show our appreciation we are having the Tony Toscano/Talking Pictures 50% off sale this Friday morning. Many of you ask to let you know when this special will run and it is up to Tony when he wants to pick up the tab, so here is your early notice. Simply make your order and type Tony in the coupon code and receive 1/2 off. Call all your friends and family and let them know it is “only” this Friday the 11th!!

Happy Birthday goes out this week to Anthony L, Dave H, Sandy H, “Jimmy Whispers”, “Bobbie One Brow”, and a special B-Day shout out to “Haywood J.” :-}

Keep all those comments and emails comming, the staff here at Candle Breeze gets a kick out of all the funny replys and strange requests.

Cheers,

Deno

Aroma Radio July 4th Weekend Mix

June 30th, 2008

Hello Candle Breeze Fans!
Today I’m writing with Root Beer Float filling my entire home with the aroma of home made root beer while “Blue Moon” by The Cowboy Junkies is palying on my Aroma Radio mix.

Want to start out and thank “Jimmy the Saint” (”JTS”) for sending me The Cowboy Junkies cd. “JTS” is one of our biggest fans and has been a huge supporter of Candle Breeze since day one.
I have known “JTS” since 1988 and I can whole heartedly say that he is one of those friends that you can not say enough good things about. I’m proud to say that I gave “JTS” his nick name about 12 years ago and almost everyone we know now calls him “Jimmy the Saint”. The name came from the movie “Things to do in Denver when your dead” as Andy Garcia plays a character named Jimmy the Saint. When things are unraveling Garcia makes sure everyone is taken care of before he takes care of himself. “JTS”, Jonny M and I saw the movie at the famous Tower movie theatre and it was a no brainer to call him “JTS” from that day forward. I highly suggest renting “Things to do in Denver” if you’re a dude. This is one of the best dude flicks of all time. Everyone should be so lucky to have a friend like “Jimmy the Saint”.

Another thanks for all of you who purchased the Tony Toscano deal of the day on Friday. This special included the new
Root Beer Float Cand-O a week prior to its July 4th roll out. Seems by the record number of purchases last Friday you’re all very excited to try the new Root Beer Float. Can’t wait to get your comments on this new Cand-O fragrance. I love it!!!

OK! Here it is! The Aroma Radio July 4th weekend mix!
This is what I’ll be listening to all weekend and sharing with all.
19 tracks of tunes that has a mix for everyone. You’ll have to support Steve Jobs and his little apple co. but for $20 it’s well worth the download.
Here you go:

US3: Cantaloop, Come on everybody, Thinking about your body
Katrina & The Waves: Walking on sunshine
Dire Straits: Twistin by the pool
Tom Petty: Breakdown
Morphine: Top Floor Bottom Buzzer
Ben Harper: Get it like you like it, Say you will
Duffy: Mercy
Mike Doughty: The Gambler, Let it go
Bob Schneider: Stacia Brown, Mudhouse
Macy Gray: Caligula, Sex-o-matic Venus freak
ACDC: Back in Black
The Commordors: Brick House
Steve Earle: Satellite Radio

Enjoy your long weekend!

Cheers,

Deno

Cand-O Fruit Basket Bliss

June 23rd, 2008

Hello Candle Breeze fans!

Today I’m writing with the Cand-O aroma of Vanilla Sugar Cookie filling my entire home while “Over the Top” by Ray Charles is playing on my Aroma Radio mix.

I’m going to keep it short and sweet this post due to circumstances this weekend that could incriminate me. ;-}

Want to thank so many of you for purchasing the “Cand-O Fruit Basket” Deal of the Day on Friday. It was Fruit Basket Bliss! As you all know Tony Toscano and his Talking Pictures TV Show sponsors this weekly special and seems that you all wait for this special each week. I get asked all the time what Tony is really like and I can’t say enough kind things about him. He is genuine and of course loves Candle Breeze. You can now watch his movie reviews at www.TalkingPictures.tv if you miss him on the WB Network. His new co-host Michelle Wright is a doll and she sure helps keeping you from switching channels. Tonys viewership should increase big time due to Michelle!

Thanks for the numerous comments to the blog and emails last week. Jill sent a really cute comment that Matt posted last week. I know I mentioned that I was not going to post comments but Matt seems to think that some need acknowledgement. The comments that I would love to post have gotten me into trouble in prior posts so I’ve learned my lesson. Jill and her Sex in the City Entourage got a real kick out of the last post and I have received emails from her entourage wanting individual props. Seems that if you make the Candle Breeze blog you have gained some kind of weird status. Need to thank “KMC” for the delicious Peach Cobbler that she made and personally delivered. As a big Candle Breeze fan she couldn’t resist this sweet gesture. There is nothing better than enjoying a delicious peice of Peach Cobbler while a Juicy Peach Cand-O fills your kitchen. I wonder if this will bring on a barrage of Root Beer floats to the office after we roll out it out this Cand-O July 4th. I have made plans to visit the Farmer’s Market this Saturday morning to help perfect our Apricot Honey Cand-O that will make its apprearance Aug. 1st.

Thanks again for all of the support and kind words towards Candle Breeze and this blog. If you’re in SLC this week please try to attend and support the Utah Arts Festival. I will be there both Friday and Saturday night enjoying the food and music. Mark Knophler of Dire Straits fame is performing this Wednesday at Abravanal Hall and should not be missed. Special Birthday shout outs go out this week to Anna R., Martin G., CC, Nancy S., and to my sweet Katie who has been the best little dog an owner could ever ask for. Happy 14th Katie!

Cheers,

Deno

Oh wait! I almost forgot…
OK, enough already! I have received so many Aroma Radio mix requests this past month about giving you a list of songs for the 4th of July weekend. Seems you all want a CD mix for that weekend that will groove your party or to personally enjoy for the 3 day weekend. I will provide a list next week for all of you so that you can help support poor Steve Jobs and his little apple company by downloading these songs. I will make it really groovy with some mood tunes incase you’re not with a group of friends but with that special someone. Most of you have downloaded the past blog mentions of music and should have about 8 or so to get started, I will add about a dozen more next week. So refrain from sending any more music requests, a mix list is on its way. Todays song “Over the Top” by Ray Charles is that perfect song if you have a lover that you truly miss. It’s hard to find but well worth adding it to your collection.

Talk to you all next week…

Father’s Day wrap-up

June 16th, 2008

Hello Candle Breeze fans!

I’m writting today as the new Juicy Peach Cand-O is filling my office with the aroma of Peach Cobbler pie while “Bitter Blue” by Shannon McNally is playing on the Aroma Radio Mix.

Before I start rambling I want to thank those of you who sent me very nice Father’s Day wishes this past week. As for Nikki’s question, I’m very happy with the 2 kids that I have now and will have to pass on your cute offer to be the father of your first born.

Once agian our Candle Breeze fans made the Tony Toscano/Talking Pictures Deal of the Day on Friday a huge success! Looks like plenty of Fathers will be enjoying Candle Breeze in their homes and offices this week. Glad to hear that you all love the new Juicy Peach! Have received many compliments on how it smells like Peach Cobbler and “peaches that mom used to bottle”. Root Beer Float will roll out July 4th and Apricot Honey will follow August 1st.

It was nice to hear that a few of you attended the Old 97’s concert that I recommended. Yes, they were as fun as I predicted and Rhrett Miller gave us 2 hours of great vocals. “Roller Skate Skinny” had everyone singing word for word with Rhrett, that was really cool.

I had a great Father’s Day weekend with lots of golf and sun. I was glued to the TV late night Friday with the news of the passing of NBC’s Tim Russert. It was L2 who really introduced me to Tim and his “Meet the Press” program and glad she did. L2 is very politically in the know and as she would say bright and early every Sunday morning, “if it’s Sunday morning it’s Meet the Press”. It was L2’s Sunday ritual and I can imagine she was as sad as anyone when she heard the news, she has lost the one voice that she could truly trust in politics. I made it a point to start my Father’s Day Sunday with what could be my final Meet the Press viewing. The program was hosted by Tom Brokaw who in my opinion is the best in the business. There were many tributes that showed how loved Tim was but it was the pure love and emotion displayed by James Carville a Democratic strategist and his wife Mary Matalin a Republican strategist that opened the flood gate of tears for me. I came to learn that Tim would bring them both on the show to stir up controversy just to entertain himself. I just wanted to pass my heart felt sympathy to all of you who loved Tim and special thanks to L2 for broadening my world.

OK, on a lighter note. “The Taste of Greece” was Sunday evening and what a party some of you missed. As mentioned last week all of you were invited and a few of you took me up on my offer. Lexie and her Sex in the City entourage showed up and had the feast of their lives. They came without tickets and mentiond they were guests of Candle Breeze and were escorted to our table. I’m proud to say that I am now the Godfather to Lexie, Jill, Alison, and Trisha. They were baptized with copious amount of Ouzo and Baklava. Alison suggested an Ouzo fragrance for a Cand-O which may not be a bad idea. Jill has a future as a Belly Dancer if she chooses and the Bouzouki player had eyes only for Trisha. Thanks for taking Candle Breeze up on their offer. I had a blast!

Received a ton of Aroma Radio questions, seems most of you want more than 1 blog a week from me just for the song selections and life updates. I will continue to only write once a week but will send additional song selections with every web order when you request “songs” in the message box when ordering.

Once again, thanks for all of the blog comments and supporting the “Deal of the Day” specials.
Big thanks to Ali & Meech for a great Father’s Day! I love hanging out with you two!

Talk to you all next week.

Cheers,

Deno

Don’t forget Dad this weekend!

June 9th, 2008

Hello Candle Breeze fans!
Writing this morning with Garden Spearmint wafting through my home while “Baby I love you” by Aretha Franklin is playing on my Aroma Radio Mix.

Annie one of our new Candle Breeze fans who is now addicted to Candle Breeze wrote, “I’m savoring a slow morning listening to Swell Season, while the smell of Amaretto is mixing perfectly with my coffee”. Not bad Annie. She wants me to hire her to write the openings for each blog entry. What do all of you think? If I were to give her the job she would have to put all of her last minute vacations on hold which would cramp her style. Maybe I should send with her with a Candle Breeze to all her vacation spots as marketing. That’s not a bad idea…

Once again the Tony Toscano “Talking Pictures” Deal of the Day last Friday was a huge hit with all of you. Thanks so much for ordering Candle Breeze for your Dad’s this Father’s Day. I have had many requests about being notified prior to the Tony discount. The best I can do is let you all know that Tony chooses the day on a whim. His Talking Pictures tv Show picks up the tab on this special and they do it once a month for a 2 hour period only. Make sure you tune into The Chunga Show @ 101.9 The End at 8:00 am every
M-W-F for Tony’s specials.

Getting some really funny comments about the TV commercial out takes that Matt has so kindly added to the web site. To answer a few questions that have been asked quite a bit; yes, that is my nose and not a cigar, and no I didn’t take Tony’s hair and use as extensions for my own scalp. As for Jeff in Palo Alto, Tony may be interested but Deno is a definite “no”.

I am also receiving some great Cand-O fragrance ideas from you all for this fall along with Aroma Radio suggestions. L2 was in San Diego last weekend and wrote that she went to see the
Rebirth Brass Band from New Orleans and wanted to pass along to all that “they were fantastic and the concert was a religious experience!” L2 has a lot of input on what goes on the Aroma Radio mixes and for L2 to rave about this concert they must have been fantastic. I can’t wait to check them out! A reminder that the Old 97’s are playing at the Paladium this Wednesday night. This alt-country band has been fantastic to see live and I will be there singing “Bird on a wire” word for word. Try not to miss them if you’re in SLC this week.

Golf, bartending, poker and driving consumed my weekend. “Jonny M” and I were bartenders at a private party Saturday night for a group of 100 Greek Arcadians. As “Jonny M” can attest, the Greeks put on a party like no other nationality we know of. The Greeks start with a open bar for the first 2 hours while copious amouts of appetizers that most people would refer to as a complete meal are constantly being passed around the room. The main meal was an abundance of Greek marinated chicken, stuffed grape leaves, rice pilaf, smelts, and feta salad. The easy thing about bartending at a Greek function and keeping everyone happy is keeping the Ouzo shot glasses full lined up on the bar. “Jonny M” was so impressed with this party that all he could say all night was “this is heaven”. There is nothing more wonderful than seeing a ballroom full of people laughing, hugging, Greek dancing, eating, drinking from dusk till dawn. The food kept comming until the last of the poker players were gone at 5:30 am. I hope that “Jonny M” is right and it is what heaven will be like. Congrats to Paul Roumpos for being named “Arcadian Man of the Year”.

If you would like to attend such a party you’re in luck! This Sunday the 15th they are having a “Taste of Greece” food frenzy. This $50 ticket includes over 20 entrees and dozens of Greek pastries to choose from. This is an invite event only but have made arrangements so you can mention Candle Breeze at the door and they will sell our fans a ticket. This event is far better than the Greek Fest that is held in September with no long food lines. Hope to see some of you there and if you stop by and say hi I will provide Ouzo for good cheer. It will be held in the Greek Hall on 300 west 250 south in SLC from 5:00 pm until dawn.
Opa!

Want to wish some Candle Breeze fans Happy Birthday this week;
Chelsea @ The Chunga Show, Tony Toscano, Cheri G., Mark W.,
Mike @ The Greek Market, Crystal, Micky D., and Zorro.
A BIG Happy Father’s Day to all of us Fathers!

Keep all those blog, email comments and Candle Breeze orders comming..

Cheers,

Deno

June is here!

June 2nd, 2008

Hello Candle Breeze fans!

Writing today with Orange Creamsicle filling my office with wonderful aroma while “It’s all right” by Ray Charles is playing on my Aroma Radio mix. This Orange Creamsicle reminds me of summer so much.

Hope you all had a wonderful warm weekend. We have had great weather here and spent most of the weekend weeding while listening to Aroma Radio mixes. Pulling weeds not rolling…
Lost $$ to the boy’s golfing Friday and didn’t mind due to I drank their beverages, smoked their Cigars and rode up with Rocky. At $4.25 a gallon for gas, $10 cigars and $4 beverages my $42 golf losses didn’t seem to hurt that bad.
Congrats to Tommie Sharp for winning the Salt Lake Amateur this weekend. Tommie was the ring bearer at my wedding 23 years ago at age 5. Tommies dad Greg was a fantastic amateur golfer in his day and could hit a 1 iron like radar. Tommie has is amateur status back after trying the pro circut for about 3 years. He told me it is hard paying $1,000 professional entry fees and only making $800.
Tommie can shoot a 65 in his sleep and still can’t make it on tour. Just goes to show how good these touring pros really are.
Props go out to Niko Roumpos who’s super league Raiders baseball team has won 16 in a row! They are going to NY next month to participate in the Little League World Series and visit Yankee Stadium before it is demolished for the new Stadium.

Thanks for all the props about the Aroma Radio play list. Many of you took the liberty to contact me about providing a really cool set list for the long Memorial weekend. Replyed to about 30 emails with set lists that I felt would be perfect for that weekend. Received tons of props about how Aroma Radio grooved many BBQ’s.
I will put a set list for all to check out in the next few weeks. As always you can check out previous bolgs to get a few song selections.

The new Candle Breeze tv commercials are running on the “Talking Pictures” program. Had a chance to review but my suggestions of more Tony and less Deno fell on deaf ears. Matt my web host guru is going to put some of the bloopers from the commerical out takes on the web site soon. You’ll all see what an idiot I am at times.

Glad to hear that you all love the new Juicy Peach. The Root Beer Float will be available July 1st. I want to thank all of the readers who not only enjoy the blog but support Candle Breeze. I see all internet orders and reconize most of your names when ordering. I’m compelling a list of our most loyal bloggers and supporters, you will all receive a special Aroma Radio Mix soon that I’ve been working on for about a month now. It’s the coolest Aroma Radio Mix I’ve ever put together. I remain most grateful for all of you who continue to re-order Cand-O’s and give Candle Breeze as gifts to those you love.
As many have you have mentioned Candle Breeze is the perfect Birthday and Wedding gift to give for those who are hard to buy for.

Father’s day is just around the corner and Tony Toscano/Talking Pictures will have another 50% off sale June 6th from 8:00 am - 10:00 am MST only.
Simply go to the Candle Breeze web site during that time and type Tony in the coupon code and get all product 50% off. This is an easy way to have your gifts shipped in time for dad. Most of you will take advantage of this Tony special to load up on Candle Breeze products to use as wedding, birthday or friend appreciation gifts to have on hand this summer.

As always I will check in after the weekend.
Have a great week and enjoy your weekend.

Cheers…

Weekend update 5-26-08

May 26th, 2008

Hello Candle Breeze fans!
Writing today with Ocean Mist filling my office while “List of Demands” by Robyn is playing on my Aroma Radio mix. As I am writing it is pouring rain and Ocean Mist is making it possible for me to carry on. Funny how an aroma can change your mood.
A Happy Birthday shout out to Carol R. who turned 44 over the weekend. “Don’t look a day over 34 girl!”

The new Candle Breeze tv commericials are now in the can and need to decide which to use. Spent Friday morning shooting three different 30 second spots and two 60 second spots at the “Talking Pictures Studio with Tony Toscano. Tony’s new show is now on the WB Network with over 300 syndicated stations and we’re so happy for Tony and Candle Breeze of course. Candle Breeze will be the lead advertiser into his show beginning June 1st. Tony directed the commercial spots and we had a difference of creative expression on who was to say what and when. I wanted more of Tony and less of me when describing Candle Breeze. Tony has a loyal following and his viewers trust Tony in his movie picks and advice. Tony is such a huge fan of Candle Breeze and its effectiveness. His Hollywood guests that he interviews always comment on how wonderful his studio smells. I feel that the viewers would much rather hear about Candle Breeze from Tony than me. After further review of the commerical takes I strongly suggest that we use the Tony only scripts.

By the comments I received after the long weekend seems that many of you had Aroma Radio mix suggestions playing at your parties. Christine from Santa Barbara wrote me and took the Aroma Radio mix to 2 different BBQ’s. She writes, “Deno, I’m so pleased with my CandleAire but I have to tell you your Aroma Radio was so well received at 2 BBQ parties that I turned everyone on to this past weekend. Thanks for replying to my email and providing me with 18 of the grooviest tracks that were non stop groove. Your Morphine and US3 suggestions were right on when it comes to moving a party”.

So you all know, I recommended ‘Honey White” and Top Floor Bottom Buzzer” by Morphine, “Flip Fantasia” & “Come’on Everybody” by US3. I can imagine everyone groovin’ to these really cool tunes. Wish I could have been there!

Celebrated Diana’s B-day Saturday night with 30 or so good friends and as warning in a prior blog we had copious amounts of ouzo as the toast shot of choice. Lucky for me I only live about 3 blocks from the party and it only took me 10 minutes to walk home.
Walked back the following morning to get my car and meet everyone for a Golf Tournament. Most of us met for breakfast before the tourney and the hostess at the resturant knew exactly which group in the back that I was looking for when I walked in. Seems we must of all had that same ouzo hangover look. Tami was my golf partner this weekend and we had more laughs than good shots and believe me we had a lot of bad shots. Tami went birdie birdie for the first time in her golfing career and celebrated with a big old nasty cigar. Tami is a huge fashion statement when it comes to golf attire. Tami palyed in a cowboy hat the entire round which was a first for me. As Tami said “if a cowboy hat can make Dwight Yoakam look sexy can you imagine what it can do for me”. I’m now a big beleiver in it’s not how good you play but it’s how good you look on the golf course. I think it was Franando Lamas who said, “it’s better to look good than to feel good darling”.

Hang on everyone! I know I told you the “Juicy Peach Cand-O will be available soon. This Friday they will be available on the net so hang on just a little longer. Root Beer Float will be ready for Father’s Day and expect a huge run on this Cand-O fragrance by the amount of emails and blog comments begging for it. Thanks to all who have made the “deal of the day” on the web site a big success. Look for fantastic Father’s Day gift deal of the day specials in the next few weeks.

I’ll check in later this week to update.

Cheers…

Hello Candle Breeze fans!

Writing today with Country Apple filling my office with wonderful aroma while “Relating to a Psychopath” by Macy Gray is playing on my Aroma Radio mix.

Sorry Jazz fans, it’s over!
Seems the Jazz were already looking forward to Monday and game 7 and forgot to show up Friday during game 6.
The Lakers saved “Furg” $500 by outplaying the Jazz for 47 minutes. We had 2 chances to tie the game in the last 10 seconds but couldn’t get 1 to fall. “Furg” did call right after the game and asked if I wanted to come to LA anyway and watch a real team play for the Western finals. I think I’ll pass and not tune into another NBA game untill next season.

Thanks to all of you who took advantage of the Tony Toscano “Talking Pictures” 1/2 off Candle Breeze special last Friday. It was the biggest web order day that Candle Breeze has ever had and the special was for 2 hours only. Keep listening to 101.9 The End on Fridays 8:00 am to hear when Tony will provide this special again. Hint, maybe the first Friday in June.

Was 90 degrees here this weekend and took advantage of the great weather. Played golf, went to brunch with all of Sophia Circle, drove out to Antelope Island and enjoyed the day with the top down. Looking forward to the 3 day weekend comming up. Playing golf Friday with the boy’s, Saturday night there is a 50th Birthday party for Dianna Green that includes copious amounts of ouzo and late night poker, Sunday there is a couples Golf Tournament in Tooele if we are not too beat-up from the 50th B day bash.

A “get well soon” to my nephew Andoni who broke his wrist and can’t swing a bat or golf club for 4 weeks. Another nephew Agustino just got out of a cast and now can swing and play ball again. It’s amazing these kids are not in casts all year by the way they play.

I’ll check in later and fill you in on the progress of the new 30 & 60 second Candle Breeze tv commercials that we are shooting this week.

Hello Candle Breeze fans!

Today I’m writing as Rose Petals is filling my office with wonderful aroma while “So many ways” by Morphine is palying on my Aroma Radio mix. Sophie is here doing some deep spring cleaning in our office and Rose Petals is her favorite. My office has never been so clean! She is rearranging everything and I’m having a difficult time finding things in a neat and tidy environment. She did tell me that I need to keep the toilet cover down for good luck. She says it has something to do with fortune running out if you leave it up. I will try this cover thing down for a while and see if it works.

Sorry about not posting some of your comments, as mentioned before you need to keep it clean and postable. I will try and post a few this weekend.

Want to wish HAPPY BIRTHDAY to “T Fair” this Monday the 19th! “T” is one of my dearest friends and a big Candle Breeze fan. “T” is moving to Tulsa soon and she will be dearly missed by many here in SLC. “T’s” husband Greg has accepted a great job offer in Tulsa and being the very supportive spouse has agreed to follow him to OK. We all have many acquaintances in our lives and few really good friends, “T” is a really good friend. The past 20 years “T” and our friend “Jonny M” have seen some of the best up and comming bands that have made their way through SLC. In the old Zephyr 200 seat capacity days we saw Morphine, Dave Matthews warm up Big Head Todd & The Monsters, Bob Schneider, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Steve Miller band, Joan Osborne, Brian Setzer, Lee Rocker, to name just a few of the numerous shows we enjoyed together. Looking forward to the increase in Tulsa Candle Breeze sales on the website. Hang in there “T”, best of luck to you and Greg.
I love you and we’ll miss you…

“G” and I had lunch with the famous National Movie Critic Tony Toscano from “Talking Pictures” and got the inside scoop about “Sex in the City” and “Batman”. I’m sworn to secrecy about his ratings and reviews but I can say that Sex in the City is a chick flick that guys will hate and Batman is a real dude flick that will win Oscar’s.
Tony is producing a new 30 & 60 second TV commercial for Candle Breeze that will air begginning July on his new and expanded “Talking Pictures” program that is now on the WB Network. His daughter Katie is Producing and Directing some hand puppet spoofs about Candle Breeze that will be appearing on youtube in the next few weeks.

I know, I know, the Jazz really blew it! Furgis tried calling me in the wee hours of the morning to rub it in but I refused to answer the phone I fell asleep in the 3rd quarter only to be awaken by screams of L2 and
“you suck Kirilenko!” in the fourth quarter. “L2″ has a mouth like a sailor when it comes to the bad officiating that the Jazz receive on the road. I did see the last 5 minutes and thought we had a chance to steal one in LA. The turning point was when we were down by 1 and Gasol pushed off on Okur after they missed a 3 pointer and Gasol got the offensive rebound and put it back in for a 4 point lead. He did it again the next trip down the floor and we were down by 6 with less than 50 seconds. “L2″ is a Bay area girl and has always been a Warriors fan but by the way she was freaking out and yelling at the TV I think the Jazz have replaced the Warriors in her world. Don’t fret Jazz fans, we will win game 6 and Furg will be sending a plane ticket SLC/LAX/SLC for Game 7. Checked online and the air fare is now $510. Should have booked that $345 ticket last week when I told you. By Saturday when Furg does book the ticket it should be around $700. I’ll let Furg out of the deal for $300 cash and a picture of him in a Jazz shirt if he concedes by game time Friday. Clock is ticking my friend.

I’m taking the weekend off and going to enjoy the summer like conditions so I will check in on Monday.
Have a wonderful aroma filled weekend all…

Candle Breeze vs. Candles

May 13th, 2008

Hello CB Fans!

Today I’m writing with Amaretto filling my home with its wonderful aroma while “Breakdown” by Tom Petty is playing on my Aroma Radio mix. The Amaretto makes me crave coffee really bad.

Thanks so much for the many comments on how much your Mother’s LOVED their Candle Breeze and CandleAire units. I want to also thank the really cool people who stopped by the kiosk in Fashion Place Mall that hugged and wished Sophie a Happy Mother’s Day. That is all she has talked about the past few days. As most of you know, Sophie is our Kiosk Queen on Fridays. There are customers who only shop the Mall on Friday’s just so they can visit Sophie. There are many times on Friday’s that you will find a crowd of people around the Candle Breeze kiosk just to get a hug and smile from Sophie while they are wating to get into the Cheese Cake factory.

Speaking of Cheese Cake, I have had so many Cand-O requests on this blog with Cheese Cake being one of them. I have also received Purple Yams, Cheddar Cheese and Gasoline Cand-O suggestions to name just a few. I wouldn’t even know where to start to come up with these formulations. I will keep trying.

I have been asked all the time what is the advantage of
Candle Breeze vs lighted Candles?
The best way to answer this is, it would take “dozens” of lighted candles spread out through out your home “hours” to do what 1 Candle Breeze can do in “minutes”. The value equation is a no brainer, you would have to spend over $300 in lighted candles to fill your home with aroma the way Candle Breeze can for less than $25. Our large Candle Breeze and CandleAire units have a flickering bulb to give the impression of a flame. We did this for those of you who enjoy the ambience of a lighted candle without the fear of fire or dirty soot on your ceilings and walls.

Fans of 101.9 The Chunga Show this Friday will get special Candle Breeze pricing from 8:00 am - 10:00 am only. Our famous and dearly loved Movie Critic Tony Toscano wants to share some of his Italian love and offer 1/2 off pricing for his fans this Friday morning. He will announce this on his segment at 8:00 am and make it available untill The Chunga Show signs off at 10:00 am. Simply type Tony in the coupon code on the website and receive 50% off from 8-10 am. Having lunch with Tony Wednesday to try and figure out how we are going to pull this off. I’ll offer to pay for lunch if he picks up the discount. Don’t like my chances…
As Tony says, “when it comes to Candle Breeze it’s Amore”!

Mike at the Greek Market owes me $20 and lunch. He bet me that the Jazz would lose 1 of the 2 games here in SLC.
Mike is a huge Jazz fan and deep down he was hoping that I would win the bet. Going to collect today, I’m ordering his famous Greek salad with chicken souvlaki. Ummm good…
Chris Furgis (”Furg”) in LA who was my best man and godfather to “Meech” was so sure that the Lakers would win in 5 games that he bet me if the series goes 7 games he will fly me into LA for game 7.
“Furg” is a SLC boy who graduated from the “U” and received his MBA from UCLA, he has been in LA for 23 years now and is a Laker fan by default. Checked on line today and the airfare is only $345 to SLC/LA/SLC if you book today, I would book it today if I were “Furg”.
I will accept any side action with Laker fans on this blog.
I will check in after game 5

Cheers,

Deno
